The NCAA baseball Tournament is moving onto the Super Regionals this weekend. 16 teams remain, but after this weekend we will know the final eight teams left standing that will head to the 2026 College World Series.
There were a lot of interesting story lines to come out of the various regionals this past weekend. Teams like Georgia, Texas and North Carolina were dominant and went 3-0 in their home regional. Then there were 4-seeds St John's and Little Rock who shocked the baseball world by going 3-0 in their regional as well.
No. 1 overall seed UCLA was bounced out of the tournament after one of the greatest regular seasons in college baseball history, and No. 2 Georgia Tech was sent packing as well.
This leaves 16 teams who are all feeling confident about the way they are playing right now, but only eight can advance. But before the next round begins here is how all 16 teams stack up against each other in a re-ranking of all 16 regional winners.

Georgia deserves more respect than anyone is willing to give them
There is a clear divide at the top right now. Georgia, Texas, Mississippi State, Auburn and North Carolina are all clearly playing better than everyone else. But out of all those teams it is Georgia who has been the best and most consistent throughout the season, especially recently.
Georgia won the SEC regular season and tournament championships before going 3-0 this past weekend without breaking a sweat. Vegas may not think they are the favorite to win it all right now, but that has more to do with the tough test that Mississippi State presents this weekend in their Super Regional.
If Georgia can get past Mississippi State this weekend then Vegas may have no choice but to make them the favorite. The Bulldogs haven't made the College World Series since 2008, and they've only won it all once time in their history in 1990, but this team is good enough to get it done even if Vegas and the rest of the country are sleeping on them.
This Georgia team has been doubted all season long, but all they've done is continued to prove their critics wrong. Will they prove everyone wrong again en route to a National Championship? They may just be the best team left standing, so they shouldn't be doubted.
