There are a lot of reasons why former Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck made the decision to transfer to Miami (FL). Many insiders have shared their reasons why they think he did, and Beck’s reported NIL amount he will be receiving clearly played a role.

But Beck's girlfriend Hanna Cavinder being a star player on the Miami basketball team likely had an impact on this decision as well. How much of an impact is unknown, but you can't really bame Beck for wanting to go play for the school that his girlfriend is at as well.

And while she likely made a difference in this recruitment, likely nobody is willing to give her that much credit. But Cavinder is claiming credit anyways on her latest Instagram post.

"'U' know i come with the assist."

There are many other reasons why Beck transferred to Miami

No one can deny that Cavinder had a huge impact on Beck’s decision to transfer. And while that is an enticing reason to choose Miami, there are many other factors that likely played a larger role.

The first and potentially greatest reason is that Miami is offering Beck a large amount of NIL. On top of that, people have speculated that Beck saw how excited Georgia was to play for Gunner Stockton when he took over in the SEC Championship game, so that could have pushed Beck away from Georgia as well.

There are also more obvious reasons such as Miami being in a position to compete for a conference championship, make the College Football Playoff, and the fact that their most recent QB was a Heisman Trophy finalist. All three of these things clearly would be a huge draw for Beck as well.

So while going to the same school as his girlfriend is great, there are countless other reasons why Beck likely chose to transfer to Miami. So it is weird for Cavinder to take credit, even if she is just joking around.
