The Georgia Bulldogs kick off their 2026 season along with the majority of college football this Saturday against Tennessee State. However, every Georgia fan needs other games to watch when the Bulldogs' aren't playing or there is a commercial break.
For those fans looking for a good game that might even have implications on Georgia down the role, here are three to tune into.
1. Baylor vs Auburn
The Aflac Kickoff game in Atlanta this year features a very interesting game. This matchup pits new Auburn head coach in Alex Golesh against former Florida Gators quarterback DJ Lagway who is now on Baylor.
The key thing to watch here is how Auburn performs against a team of pretty equal talent as them. Auburn also brings in USF quarterback transfer Byrum Brown, a dual-threat guy that came to Auburn with Golesh. Brown had some remarkable seasons at USF, specifically in 2023 when he joined Jayden Daniels as the only FBS players with 3,000+ passing yards and 800+ rushing yards in a season.
It will be worth watching to see how that translates to a much more challenging schedule at Auburn in the SEC. The game kicks off Saturday at 3:30 PM EST on ABC as well as Disney+.
2. Louisville vs Ole Miss
Louisville and Ole Miss could be one of the most fun matchups on Saturday. Many people even have this game on their calendars for a chance of an upset.
This game puts Pete Golding's Ole Miss defense against offensive guru in Jeff Brohm. With how much that has happened in Oxford, both good and bad, since December, it will be interesting to see how they open up the season in 2026. The current odds provided by FanDuel have the Rebels winning by 6.5, but the final score could definitely sway heavily either way. Georgia fans may not care who wins this game, but after comments made by Jeff Brohm earlier this week it would be nice to see Louisville lose.
This game will kick off on Sunday in Nashville at 7:30 PM EST on ABC.
3. Clemson vs LSU
Georgia is not scheduled to play either LSU or Clemson this year during the regular season, but every college football fan needs to watch this one. Lane Kiffin's reign in Baton Rouge will kick off Saturday under the LSU lights at 7:30 PM EST on ABC against Dabo Swinney's Clemson Tigers who will be looking to prove themselves in 2026 after a disappointing season in 2025.
If LSU comes out firing and wins by a substantial margin you can't help but start to wonder if the Tigers will eventually face the Bulldogs in Atlanta in December. However, if Kiffin's Tigers lose at home to an unranked Clemson the buzz around college football will be a much different story.
Game odds adjust periodically and are subject to change.
