Georgia is back in action for game two at the College World Series as they are ready to take on Oklahoma in their second game in Omaha. The Bulldogs are bringing their perfect 6-0 NCAA Tournament record to the table in hopes of continuing to extend that streak, but the Sooners themselves are red hot right now as well.
After upsetting No. 2 Georgia Tech in the Atlanta Regional they went on to sweep No. 15 Kansas in their Super Regional and beat No. 7 Alabama 9-0 in their CWS opener. The Sonners may just be the hottest team in the country right now, but Georgia is confident they can cool them off and keep on winning.
Vegas also is very confident in Georgia as well as they give them a whopping -260 odds to beat Oklahoma while also predicting them to win by 2.5 runs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Georgia can't get too comfortable after Vegas predicts CWS victory vs Oklahoma
2.5 runs is a lot in baseball. Vegas has set their betting line at 1.5 runs for almost every game at the College World Series so far, but they are extremely confident that Georgia will get the job done and beat the Sooners.
Georgia however can't afford to get too comfortable with themselves after seeing that.
No one has beaten better teams than Oklahoma has to get to this point. Georgia has had a difficult path up to this point as well, but the Sooners beat the 2-seed twice, 15-seed twice and the 7-seed by nine runs to get to where they are. Does anyone think they'll be scared of Georgia after all that? Not a chance.
So far in the NCAA Tournament Vegas hasn't been too fond of Georgia. They barely had them favored over Mississippi State in the Supers and actually predicted a Texas win in their CWS game on Saturday, so being such a big favorite is a new feeling for this Georgia team. And while that is great, it's important they don't let it get to their heads.
Thankfully head coach Wes Johnson spoke in length about how he doesn't care what Vegas thinks, so that message will certainly be shared with his team entering this pivotal game.
Vegas predicts Georgia will take complete control of College World Series
Let's imagine for a second that Georgia does beat Oklahoma, what would that mean for them at the College World Series then?
Georgia would still have work to do to get to the National Championship series if they win, but they would be in complete control. They would be the final team in the winners' bracket and would wait for one team to emerge out of the losers' bracket to face them with a trip to the National Championship series on the line.
Georgia however would get two chances to beat that team one time while the challenger would have to beat them twice in a row.
It's clear how much better it would be team to be waiting in the winners' bracket versus the team who fought their way out of the losers' bracket. Vegas thinks Georgia will get it done, but Oklahoma isn't going to go down without a fight.
