Texas fan made the most ridiculous excuse imaginable after CWS loss to Georgia

Texas is full of a bunch of sore losers.

Georgia's trip to the College World Series got off to a perfect start as they took down the Texas Longhorns 7-1 Saturday night. The Bulldogs got off to a perfect start as they scored four runs in the opening inning and never took their foot of the gas the rest of the game.

Georgia's offense played very well for a majority of the game, but the story of the night was the elite performance from starting pitcher Joey Volchko. One Texas fan in particular though wasn't too impressed with Volchko as they thought his stellar game had more to do with the Longhorns struggles on offense.

One Texas fan wasn't willing to admit what everyone saw during Georgia's CWS win over the Longhorns

Did the Longhorns' bats come to play Saturday night? Not at all, but that absolutely had more to do with Volchko than Texas having an off night.

Volchko did two things extremely well on Saturday that led to his dominant outing. The first thing he did was throw a first pitch strike in what felt like every at-bat. Texas as a team loves to battle in their at-bats and make opposing pitchers throw a lot of pitches against each batter. In fact, they are second in the country in total pitches per at-bat this season at 4.1.

Volchko throwing so many first pitch strikes made it difficult for Texas batters to stay patient at the plate, and that discomfort led to success for Volchko.

Volchko also had more movement on his pitches than he has had all season long. His cutter was arguably unhittable and his fastball and slider were very difficult to hit as well.

The right thing to say would be that Volchko pitched out of his mind and Texas had an off night. Two things can be true at the same time, and in this case Volchko deserves a lot of respect.

Even Texas head coach Jim Schlossnagle was making excuses

It wasn't just Texas fans who were making excuses after the game as Longhorns' head coach Jim Schlossnagle made some as well. He didn't call any one player out like this Texas fan did, but he refused to give Georgia any credit and chose to write this loss off as the "worst game" Texas has played all season.

It's one thing for fans to make excuses and not give Georgia any credit, but it's wild to see a head coach do it. But Schlossnagle didn't want to give Georgia their flowers even though the rest of the country knows how great they played.

Texas has a lot of work to do if they are going to make it out of this bracket and get to the National Championship series. Unfortunately for them they will have to beat Georgia at least once (if not twice) in order to get there, and if Georgia beats them again it will be interesting to see what excuses are made this time.

Up next for Georgia at the College World Series is a date with the Longhorns biggest rival, the Oklahoma Sooners. So after failing to beat Georgia Saturday night, Texas fans will now put their UGA hats on and cheer for the Sooners to fall short just like they did.

First pitch in Georgia's CWS matchup against Oklahoma is scheduled for 7:00 pm EST on Monday, June 15.
